So... I just started taking advantage of the FTP 100$ free. Thanks to the LP people for that. I was going to do CDPoker 150$ free first, for obvious reasons, but had registration issues (their support told me to do it from a different computer, so I'll get around to that soon :o).

I'm trying to find a replacement for my job through poker. I have the free time to experiment with finding something else, poker or otherwise, thanks to a light summer schedule . I'm quite determined to replace this part time job I have that requires distant travel and requires me to wake up at 5 am every day. I really suffered from lack of sleep last semester T_T.

Anyway, that job makes me about 200$ a week, and the challenge is to replace that in 2 months. After these 2 months end I really won't have the time for work, poker, and my fall classes, so one of them has to go by that time :O I so badly want to quit that job :O Another reason for this is, I think if I give them 2 weeks notice about my quitting they will be pretty much screwed (I've estimated it costing them around 10-20k to replace me, since I'm the only one who knows how to do the work for my companies largest client, ever since the guy who hired me took a job in North Carolina.. I fantasize about them offering me a 4x pay increase and then turning them down cuz poker is going so well.

I think this could be pretty hard, however. Since poker has variance that can go for months, it won't be 100% clear that I can safely replace my job unless I do very well. So I think of setting this benchmark: 1k cash out while maintaining a bankroll of about 700-1000. So that is an average of about 33$ per day. But M-Th I'll be lucky to play 4 hours. In another week I might have a better idea about how realistic this is. I welcome comments on this part most of all (though I doubt anyone will have read this far ;( ).

This morning I was down to about 12$. Thursday and Friday I kept losing my stack to well known kinds of suckouts and I was afraid if it continued any longer I'd bust before the remaining 35$ of bonus released. ATM I'm at 115$ with 10$ of the bonus remaining. So +25$. The biggest reason for the change is I've been running better, but I do feel I've adapted my play well since yesterday. I've found playing a SnG while grinding the .05/.10 at FPT to help maintain a sense of reality. When things aren't interesting while grinding ring I start getting tempted by trash hands :O

Mm. I've got a headache from looking at the computer for almost 7 hours straight, so I've lost any capacity to make this blog interesting. I blame the fast speed of FPT, I can barely get away from the computer to hydrate myself... so TTFN.
